Scandinavia Baking


My current favourite cook book is Scandinavian Baking by Trine Hahnemann.

I have posted a couple of recipes on this blog recently - Finnish Sugar Cookies and Honey Bombs, both of which were really easy to make and incredibly delicious.  I also made the Nordic Cheese Bread last week which was yummy and I have so many more ear marked to make such as Medaljer biscuits, raspberry snitter (really because the name is so good) and honey cake with orange buttercream to name a few.

The book is beautifully printed with lovely photographs and the recipes are very straightforward to follow.  The book covers:

Cakes and pastries - cream cakes, layer cakes, danish patries and sweet yeasted cakes.
Breads and savouries - sourdough starters, bigas, rye breads, rolls, crispbread, savouries, smorrebrod
Christmas and jams

Definitely one to put on your wish list.
