Meatloaf


So easy to make and delicious especially if you serve it with gravy or a tomato & basil sauce.

Meatloaf

1lb beef mince
1lb pork & herb sausages (remove the skins)
1 onion, chopped
1 fat clove garlic, crushed
1/4 cup (2oz) porridge oats
Salt & pepper
1 egg

Preheat the oven to 375F/Gas mark 5/190C.

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl, the best way to do this is with your hands - it is squelchy but definitely the only way to incorporate everything properly and to break down the meat.

Mould your mixture into a flat loaf shape in a roasting pan/dish.

Bake in the oven for about an hour.


This mixture will give you enough for four people plus leftovers (or not if you are seriously hungry).
