This recipe is so simple and tastes deliciously gooey and yummy.
200g (1 cup) dark chocolate, roughly chopped
175g (6 oz) butter
325g (1 1/2 cups) sugar
130g (3/4 cup) plain (all purpose) flour
Preheat the oven to 170C/325F/Gas 3
Put the chocolate and butter in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water until melted and smooth. I do this stage in the microwave, just be careful not to burn the chocolate.
Add the sugar into the chocolate mixture and stir well. Add in the flour and stir until incorporated.
Then stir in the eggs and mix until thick and smooth.
Pour into a lined 33 x 23cm baking tin.
Bake for about 35-45 minutes - check at 35 minutes and if not ready leave in for longer.
The top of the brownie should look flaky but still be soft in the centre.
Leave to cool completely before slicing.
